Combinations To Choose From

  • Chemistry + Bio-Technology + Life Sciences
  • Chemistry + Bio-Technology + Computer Science
  • Chemistry + Bio-Technology + Pharmaceutical Chemistry
  • Chemistry + Bio-Technology + Bio-Informatics

Chemistry is among one the most fundamental subjects in science since everything is made of chemicals.  Most of the changes that we observe in the world around are caused by chemical reactions. Chemistry is very important because it helps us to know the composition, structure & changes of matter. All the matter in the world is a combination of chemicals. Every day we use various chemicals in various from, some of these as food, some others as daily use items. All the luxuries in life that we are experiencing today can be attributed to advances in the field of Chemistry.

Chemistry is involved in the diagnostic tests, the prognostic estimations, medical prescriptions and pills. The vaccines and the antibiotics play a very vital role in health monitoring, control of diseases and in alleviating the sufferings of the humanity. Chemical products are used in Cloth mills, lather factories, petro-chemical industries, refineries and metal industries.

The famous green revolution to increase agricultural produce, so as to ensure food security, was triggered by the advent of inorganic fertilizers. The threat of weapons of mass-destruction (WMDs) like the Nuclear, Chemical and Biological weapons, which looms large on the humanity, are all caused due to chemical reactions.

Forensic science which involves comprehensive scientific analysis of material evidence in the context of the criminal law uses principles of chemistry to facilitate crime investigation. Tele-communications, Information Technology and Space Missions- all bank on the chemistry of semi-conductors and nano-tubes.
